Mind Body Connection and Counselling

There is no doubt that the mind and the body are powerfully connected. Sometimes, this connection is neglected and that can be due to a busy lifestyle, or the consequence of a Traumatic Brain Injury.

The Vagus nerve is a powerful connection between the mind and the body and by focusing on improving that connection, clinical outcomes improve. Improving function of the vagus nerve can be done though various ways, including prayer, meditation and stress management to name a few. Prolonged stress, or a Traumatic Brain Injury (concussion) can cause disruption and ultimately deteriorate this connection and that may lead to SIBO, adrenal insufficiency (stress induced fatigue) and low energy.
